Staying at The Willows B&B was an absolute delight. The spacious King Room with a mountain view was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Murray and Deborah, the hosts, were exceptionally welcoming and attentive without being intrusive. The breakfasts were a highlight, featuring delicious homemade jams and a variety of choices. The location made it easy to walk into town, allowing for convenient exploration. On the downside, the train passing by did wake us up on one occasion, but it didn’t disrupt our overall experience. Everything else went smoothly, and there’s nothing major I would change.

The breakfast was incredibly filling and delicious.
The garden was off-limits, and I found that frustrating. the strict checkout policy was disappointing, especially since we needed a little extra time. I was also taken aback by the unavailability of the grand living room mentioned in their promotional materials. it felt quite misleading.

beautiful garden, private outdoor sitting area, recycling bins on stair landing
The grand living room depicted in the photos remained behind a closed door!!! Access to the garden, prominently featured in promotions, was restricted!!! A more accommodating checkout policy would be appreciated!!!

The thoughtful touch of a homemade cake and a handwritten anniversary card waiting for us in our room was truly heartwarming.
Although beautiful, the garden was unavailable for guest use during our visit.

The brekkie was top-notch, super lekker and filling, and the hosts were like proper chommies, so friendly. Room was clean and comfy, really made me feel at home. Plus, the location was perfect, walking distance to everything!
Only thing is the WiFi was a bit slow at times, but nothing I couldn’t handle.

We really enjoyed our stay, especially the cozy living room where we relaxed after long days and the delightful welcome hamper filled with treats. The beautiful garden area and comfy TV lounge made for great spots to unwind. Just a heads-up, the breakfast hours felt a bit rigid, but it didn't take away from our overall experience! 😊
